Description

The SDVEDON VMC966 is a high-performance vertical machining center with vertical frame layout, whose column is fixed on the machine bed. The spindle head moves vertically along the column (Z-axis), the saddle moves back and forth on the bed (Y-axis), and the worktable moves transversely on the saddle (X-axis).

All key castings including machine bed, worktable, saddle, column and spindle head are made of high-strength HT300 cast iron. Optimized by 3D computer aided design with reasonable rib layout, all castings undergo complete heat treatment to eliminate residual internal stress, which guarantees sufficient structural strength, excellent rigidity and long-term stability of the whole machine.

Equipped with high-quality PMI roller linear guideways on X/Y/Z axes, the machine features low friction, small abrasion, high positioning precision and stable high-speed movement. Z-axis adopts heavy-load 6-slider structure to enhance cutting rigidity. Three-axis servo motors directly connect with high-precision ball screws via elastic coupling to realize zero-backlash transmission. Z-axis servo is equipped with automatic brake function for power-off safety protection.

Adopted Okada BT40 direct-drive spindle with 12000rpm maximum speed, the spindle uses P4 grade special bearings. Fully assembled under constant temperature with dynamic balance calibration and running-in test, it achieves stepless speed regulation, spindle orientation and rigid tapping functions. Matching with 24-tool disc ATC with fast 1.75s tool change, the machine is perfect for batch milling, boring, drilling, tapping and multi-process precision machining. Z-axis servo motor is built with automatic brake function, which automatically locks the motor shaft when power off for safe operation.

High-Performance Precision Spindle Unit

The machine is equipped with Okada BT40-150-12000rpm direct-drive spindle.
